The Hotel King is located in one of the most prestigious areas of Rome’s historical centre. Jostling for space with some of the most famous and most expensive four and five star hotels in the city, the Hotel King offers a mid-range package that is affordable to those who are looking for a truly prime location without spending a fortune.

Via Veneto is an institution, representative of Fellini’s Italy - La Dolce Vita and everything else that modern Italy is famous for.

This street grew around a few small yet exclusive hotels and boutiques in the last century and soon shot to fame as being one of the stretches of road to be on if you considered yourself to be ‘anyone who’s anyone’.

Today, tail-coated waiters serve aperitivos to guests behind air-conditioned glass partitions, and some of the city’s most exclusive restaurants line this verdant street which curves gracefully from Piazza Barberini up to Villa Borghese.

Villa Borghese is Rome’s main park and is a sight to behold that rivals the stunning architecture and history abundant in the city.

The park contains the famous Borghese Gallery, an inch-for-inch copy of the Globe Theatre in London, the city zoo, a boating lake and facilities for horse-riding, cycling and many other activities.

In summer, visitors can go up in a hot air balloon for surely the finest possible view of the city, while in windier times the park leads directly up to the Pincio Hill where one also finds breathtaking panoramas of this 3,000-year old city.

The nearby fountain at the foot of the Spanish Steps is supplied by water from a 2000 year old Roman underground Aqueduct built by the soldiers of the great Roman General Marcus Agrippa. The fountains at Piazza Navona and the Trevi Fountain are similarly supplied by underground aqueducts.
